How to quickly find the right supplier?

I think this is a problem that most buyers/buyers will encounter, how to solve this problem? Today, I will analyze it from the perspective of the supplier.


In my opinion, the inquiry is nothing more than two types. One is that the order is not confirmed, but it is only the stage of collecting information and researching in the early stage. 

If you want to get a price reference quickly, you can also purchase the quantity. Fuzzy confirmation, whether special customization is required or not, it is better to explain to the supplier. 

If you have specific product parameters, it is of course better to attach it to the procurement requirements, so that the supplier will not use it to ask you various questions back and forth. 

As a buyer, I believe most people have encountered the most frequently asked question from suppliers: "How much quantity do you need? Are there any special customization requirements?" 

I know that some buyers are reluctant to answer these questions. But these two questions are indeed very basic, because there is definitely a huge difference between the price of buying 1 and the price of buying 10,000, no matter what product there will be this difference. 

If you don't have an exact purchase plan, you can tell an approximate quantity, for example, 500~1000 pieces. Many products with this order quantity can basically be customized, and the price will not be much more expensive than 10,000 pieces. The total price is for Buyers whose purchasing needs are not clear said it is of reference significance.


The other is that the order has been confirmed, as long as the sample and price are suitable, it can be confirmed immediately. 

If you can inform the supplier of this information at the beginning, I believe you can get more quotations in less time and filter them. 

All suppliers are very active in quoting the orders that have been confirmed, and the prices will be better controlled as low as possible.


When purchasing, there are some details that need to be paid attention to and can also save you more time.

Taking our industry as an example, some countries have clearly stipulated that the sales of scale products require an OIML certificate. Without this certificate, sales are illegal and will be punished by the local government management and even all imported goods will be confiscated. 

Similar to this, we call it a hard condition, so you must have stated this at the very beginning, because the OIML certificate is difficult to obtain, not only costs a lot of money, but also takes a long time to apply, so It is said that if it is not a certain long-term large order, most manufacturers are unwilling to invest money and time to do OIML certificate. 

As far as I know, only 2-3 manufacturers in the whole Chinese weighing instrument industry have OIML certificates, and 98% of other manufacturers and suppliers do not have this certificate. In other words, if you are from Algeria, Turkey, Colombia, if you don't figure this out at the beginning, no matter how much you talk to the supplier about the price of the product, the quality is wasting your precious time. Because the OIML certificate is a hard condition to declare that you cannot cooperate in the end, at least in the short term.
